Thinner than a traditional hiking sock but with light cushioning under the heel and ball of the foot, the Loam suits trail runners, approach shoes and warm-weather hikes. Merino wool makes up 56% of the blend, with recycled nylon and a touch of elastane for durability and a close fit that won’t bunch.

Mesh-knit ventilation zones across the top of the foot let heat escape, and flat toe seams go unnoticed in snug shoes. It dries faster than a midweight sock after a creek crossing. Machine washable and fine to tumble dry low; like all merino, it lasts longer if you skip fabric softener. Sizes S to XL. Shown in sage green with an oatmeal cuff.
