Description
Solo hikers who prefer the simplicity of a freestanding tent get a lot of room in the Kinglet 1: 1.9 square meters (20 sq ft) of floor, a side door and a vestibule large enough to cook under in bad weather. A single Y-shaped hubbed pole sets the body up in two minutes and lets the tent be carried to a better spot after pitching.
The mesh inner body breathes on warm nights, and the full fly handles rain and wind. Fly fabric is 15-denier ripstop nylon; the floor is 20-denier with a 3000 mm hydrostatic head. The tent weighs 1.1 kg (2 lb 7 oz) packed with stakes, and a gear loft and two side pockets keep small items off the floor.
All seams are taped, and Hollowpine repairs torn fabric and broken poles at cost. Shown in burgundy with gray accents.
