Wear the Halfhitch as a neck gaiter, a face covering on windy ridges, a headband, or cinched at one end as a thin cap. This seamless tube of 150 g/m² merino jersey measures 25 x 50 cm, long enough to cover nose to collarbone, and weighs 38 g (1.3 oz).
Merino keeps its warmth even when your breath dampens the fabric, doesn’t hold on to odors, and feels soft against the face without the clammy feel of synthetic gaiters. It’s rated UPF 30 for summer sun and adds noticeable warmth under a shell in winter, so it earns a place in the pack year-round. Machine wash cold and lay flat to dry. Shown in moss green with an oatmeal band.
