Description
Designed for alpine climbing and ski mountaineering where a shell stays on all day, the Greywall uses a three-layer 70-denier recycled nylon face with a waterproof, air-permeable membrane. Reinforced shoulders and hips resist abrasion from rock and pack straps, while the lighter 40-denier body fabric keeps weight down to 455 g (16 oz).
The fit is athletic but long in the back and arms, so nothing untucks when you reach overhead with a harness on. A helmet-compatible hood adjusts in three directions and rotates with your head. Harness-compatible chest pockets fit skins or a topo, and 35 cm (14 in) pit zips open from both ends. Seams are micro-taped at 13 mm to reduce bulk.
Slateford inspects and repairs shells for their full service life, including membrane patches and zipper replacements. Shown in saffron yellow with black zippers.
