Description
For dry, cold days on the mountain, a softshell breathes far better than any waterproof jacket. The Alder Col is made from a double-weave stretch nylon with a lightly brushed interior, windproof enough for exposed ridges but air-permeable so you can skin or climb in it for hours without soaking your base layer.
Its close-fitting hood slides under a helmet, and gusseted underarms let you reach a high placement without the hem lifting. Two chest pockets are positioned to clear a harness and hipbelt, and a small sleeve pocket holds a lift pass. Abrasion-resistant panels on the forearms handle granite and ice.
Weight is 420 g (14.8 oz). The PFAS-free water repellent handles light snow and brief showers. Machine wash cold. Shown in sage green with rust drawcord toggles.
