Description
Hikers already carrying trekking poles can leave tent poles at home. The Glade 2 uses two of them as its main supports, one at each end, forming a long ridgeline with space for two sleepers and a door on each side. Packed weight is 1.05 kg (2 lb 5 oz), about a third less than a comparable freestanding tent.
It is a double-wall design, so condensation stays on the outer fly rather than dripping onto sleeping bags, and the mesh inner can be removed to use the fly alone on bug-free nights. The fly is 20-denier silicone-coated polyester that holds its tension through temperature swings. Eight stakes are needed for a full pitch, and all are included along with setup instructions printed inside the stuff sack.
Floor area is 2.6 square meters (28 sq ft). Shown in lichen green with ochre guylines.
