Description
The Summit Mid Hiker sits between a trail shoe and a full boot: a mid-height collar supports the ankle on rocky ground, while the flexibility and modest weight keep long day hikes comfortable from the first mile. Its 1.8 mm nubuck leather upper covers a waterproof, breathable membrane with fully sealed seams, so it stays dry through stream crossings and all-day drizzle.
A dual-density midsole with a nylon shank gives stability under a light pack, and 5 mm lugs in a high-traction rubber grip wet rock and muddy paths. The outsole is stitched as well as cemented, so the shoe can be resoled through our repair program. Weight is 470 g (16.6 oz) per shoe in a men’s US 9. Condition the nubuck once or twice a season with a wax-free leather care product.
