Kettle Pass Waterproof Hiking Boot

Description

A traditional leather hiking boot meant to be worn for a decade. The Kettle Pass is cut from a single piece of 2.2 mm full-grain leather with minimal seams, leaving fewer places for water to get in or for the upper to wear through. A waterproof liner sits inside, and the padded, bellowed tongue keeps water out to just below the top eyelet. Shown in walnut brown leather with red laces and a black outsole.

A stitched welt joins the upper to a firm polyurethane midsole and a deeply lugged rubber outsole, which allows a full resole when the tread wears down. A steel shank and TPU heel counter add stability on multi-day treks with packs up to 20 kg (44 lb). Each boot weighs 620 g (21.9 oz) in a men’s US 9, and it takes around 30 miles (50 km) of walking to break in.
