Description
Most three-day trips fit in 48 liters when the kit is dialed, and the Dunlin is sized for exactly that: tent, bag, pad, stove and food for two nights, with room to stand a bear canister upright in the main compartment. Twin aluminum stays and well-angled load lifters stay effective up to about 18 kg (40 lb).
A breathable spacer-mesh back panel and hip belt wick sweat, and the hip belt pockets are large enough for a phone in a case. The lid removes to save weight. A sleeping bag compartment at the base has its own zipper and a removable divider, and side compression straps run through the stretch pockets to cinch down a half-empty pack. The solution-dyed recycled nylon uses less water in manufacturing and resists fading in strong sun. Total weight is 1.7 kg (3 lb 12 oz).
Shown in ochre with a charcoal harness and straps.
