If you hike a few weekends a year or want a spare pair for guests, the Knockabout gives you solid three-section aluminum poles at a friendly price. They adjust from 65 to 135 cm with plastic flip locks that clamp firmly and adjust without tools, and the 6061 aluminum shafts bend rather than shatter in a fall.

EVA foam grips stay comfortable in heat and cold, and adjustable nylon wrist straps take weight off your hands on climbs. Steel tips, rubber feet and small trekking baskets are included. Each pole weighs 280 g (9.9 oz), a bit heavier than premium poles but plenty light for day hikes. Covered by a two-year warranty. Shown in teal with charcoal foam grips and flip locks.
