Description
Weighing 1.5 kg (3 lb 5 oz) with stakes, the Solo 1 is an affordable one-person tent for bike tours, first backpacking trips and anyone who wants their own space on group outings. A main hoop pole across the middle and a short brow pole at the head form a tapered tunnel shape that handles wind well when the foot points into it.
The door and vestibule are on the side, so getting in and out does not mean crawling past wet boots. The fly is 40-denier ripstop polyester with a 2000 mm coating and taped seams, and the floor is 70-denier coated polyester. A mesh inner keeps insects out while letting air flow on warm nights.
