Description
On high-output alpine days a base layer has one job, moving sweat off your skin, and the Hoarfrost does it with a lightweight synthetic grid knit. The raised grid on the inside holds a thin layer of warm air, while the open channels let moisture escape quickly and dry in minutes when you stop.
Its close balaclava hood fits under a helmet, and the long arms end in thumb loops. A short neck zip handles venting. The fabric is recycled polyester with elastane for stretch, treated to slow odor buildup on multi-day trips. A men’s medium weighs 180 g (6.3 oz).
Designed for alpine climbing, ice climbing and ski mountaineering, and pairs well under the Slateford Crag pullover. Shown in sky blue with black seams.
