Description
The Groundwork brings a proper lugged outsole and toe protection to a budget trail shoe. Its 4 mm lugs grip dirt, gravel and wet grass, and a firm foam midsole (30 mm heel, 8 mm drop) gives a stable, protective ride on rocky park trails and weekend hikes.
The upper is a tightly woven recycled polyester mesh with welded overlays and a rubber toe cap, and a padded gusseted tongue keeps small stones out. It is treated with a PFAS-free water repellent that sheds dew and light rain; think water-resistant rather than waterproof. It weighs 320 g (11.3 oz) in a men’s US 9. Scrub off dried mud with a soft brush and mild soap. Shown in charcoal with moss green overlays and laces and a grey midsole.
