This straightforward two-person setup leaves room in the budget for food: a 1.4 liter aluminum pot, a 0.9 liter pot whose lid doubles as a shallow frying pan, two bowls, two 350 ml cups and a folding pot grip. Everything nests into a 15 cm cylinder and stows in the included drawstring bag.

The anodized aluminum heats evenly and resists sticking better than bare metal, and the bowls and cups are BPA-free polypropylene with measurement lines molded inside. Both lids have strainer holes for pasta. The set weighs 640 g (1.4 lb) and still has room inside for a small canister stove. Bowls and cups are dishwasher safe; hand wash the pots.
