Description
Built for long approaches, fast summer alpinism and multi-pitch rock, the Arete is a light, breathable pant in a double-weave stretch nylon. It is windproof enough for exposed ridges yet dumps heat on uphill approaches, and a non-fluorinated water repellent handles brief snow flurries.
The cut is trim through the thigh, with articulated knees and a gusseted crotch for high steps. A slim, harness-compatible waistband lies flat under a harness or hip belt, and the thigh pocket sits where you can still reach it while roped up. Instep patches resist crampon points. It weighs 270 g (9.5 oz) in a men’s medium. Machine wash cold and tumble dry low to refresh the water repellency. Shown in graphite with ochre zip pulls.
