Upland Fast Hiking Shoe

Description

Fast hiking sits somewhere between trail running and backpacking, and the Upland is built for it: a low-cut shoe with a trail runner’s cushioning and a hiking shoe’s stability. A 33 mm heel stack of responsive foam (8 mm drop) cushions long days, and a TPU plate in the midfoot adds torsional support under a light pack.

The upper is a breathable, abrasion-resistant mesh with a protective toe bumper and padded collar, and the 4.5 mm lugs are molded in a sticky rubber compound. Each shoe weighs 340 g (12.0 oz) in a men’s US 9, roughly half the weight of a traditional leather boot. It works well with trekking poles and a light daypack for big days in the hills.
