Description
Made for open fell and moorland, the Bogtrotter trades cushioning for grip and ground feel. Its 7 mm lugs are widely spaced to shed mud with every step, and an 18 mm heel stack with a 4 mm drop keeps the foot low and stable on off-camber grass, peat and wet heather.
The upper is a tough, drainage-friendly mesh with minimal padding, so water flows straight out after river crossings. A snug, low-volume fit and lacing that pulls the upper tight around the midfoot stop the shoe twisting underfoot on steep traverses. It weighs 245 g (8.6 oz) in a men’s US 9. The soft lugs wear quickly on tarmac, so keep road sections short. After muddy runs, rinse and stuff with newspaper to dry. Shown in rust orange with a black midsole and outsole.
