Description
Four wide pot supports, a push-button igniter and a large flame-control knob you can turn with gloves on make the Trailhead a simple, sturdy stove for weekend trips. It boils a liter of water in about four minutes and weighs 98 g (3.5 oz), so it works as a backup stove or a first stove that won’t blow the gear budget.
The supports fold down and the stove packs into a molded plastic case that fits inside most 1 liter pots with room for a small fuel canister. It threads onto standard isobutane-propane canisters. Keep the igniter dry, and if it ever wears out, a lighter works fine. Covered by a two-year warranty. Shown in brushed silver with a brick red valve knob.
