Holdfast 45 Rotomolded Hard Cooler

Description

Rotational molding gives the Holdfast 45 a seamless polyethylene shell with up to 5 cm (2 in) of pressure-injected foam in the walls and lid. Pre-chilled and kept out of direct sun, it held ice for six days during warm-weather trials. A freezer-style gasket runs the full perimeter of the lid, and two flexible rubber T-latches pull it down tight.

It holds 42 cans at the recommended two-to-one ice ratio, or a long weekend of food for four. Molded-in tie-down slots accept cam straps for truck beds and boats, non-slip feet keep it from sliding, and a threaded drain plug empties it without tipping. Rope handles with hard grips make a full cooler manageable between two people, and the lid is sturdy enough to stand on. Empty weight is 11.3 kg (25 lb). Shown in sand with rust orange latches.
