Ambler Recovery Running Shoe

Description

Easy days deserve their own shoe. The Ambler is soft, wide and deliberately unhurried, with a pronounced rocker that rolls you from heel to toe with little effort from tired calves. The midsole is a single slab of low-density foam, 40 mm at the heel with a 5 mm drop, on a base wide enough to feel planted during shuffling recovery jogs and long walks. Shown in oatmeal with moss green accents on a cream midsole.

The upper is a plush knit with a stretch collar that slips on without loosening the laces, and a thick, perforated foam insole keeps feet cool. It weighs 300 g (10.6 oz) in a men’s US 9. Plenty of nurses, teachers and travelers wear it for long days on their feet. Wipe clean with a damp cloth rather than machine washing, which can distort the knit.
