Switchback Convertible Hiking Pant

Description

Two garments in one: the Switchback’s lower legs zip off just above the knee to turn a full-length hiking pant into a 10-inch short. Color-coded zippers mark left and right so the legs go back on the correct side, and ankle zips let you remove the lower legs without taking off your boots.

The fabric is a recycled nylon with 8% elastane for stretch, a PFAS-free water-repellent finish and UPF 50 sun protection, and it dries in under an hour after rain. A gusseted crotch, articulated knees and a flat waistband with belt loops keep it comfortable under a hip belt. Five pockets include a zippered thigh pocket sized for a phone. It weighs 380 g (13.4 oz) in a men’s 32 waist and is machine washable. Shown in khaki sand.
