Couloir Mid Approach Boot

Description

A mid-height approach boot for longer walk-ins carrying a heavy rack and rope. The Couloir Mid supports the ankle under load while keeping the sticky climbing rubber and smooth toe zone of our approach shoes, so the final scramble to the base of a route feels secure.

Water-resistant suede and a full rubber rand make up the upper, and a waterproof, breathable membrane keeps feet dry through snowmelt and wet gullies. A padded collar with locking lace hooks holds the heel. Each boot weighs 520 g (18.3 oz) in a men’s US 9, and the outsole can be replaced by a resoling specialist when worn. This size run has sold through; the next batch arrives in early winter. Shown in slate blue suede with a black rubber rand and outsole.
