Description
Approach shoes cover the ground between the trailhead and the climb, and the Slab Line leans toward the climbing end. The soft, sticky rubber outsole has a smooth climbing zone at the toe for edging and smearing on slabs and lugs under the heel for loose descents. Lacing runs right to the toe for a precise fit on technical scrambles.
The durable suede upper is wrapped in a full rubber rand against abrasive rock, and the heel has a clip loop for hanging the shoes from a harness on multi-pitch routes. Each shoe weighs 400 g (14.1 oz) in a men’s US 9. The midsole is thin and firm for sensitivity, so expect less cushioning than a hiking shoe on long approaches. Shown in ash grey suede with tangerine laces and heel loop and a black rubber rand and outsole.
