Rill Squeeze Water Filter

Description

Hollow-fiber membranes with a 0.1 micron pore size remove 99.9999% of bacteria and 99.9% of protozoa such as giardia and cryptosporidium, and the Rill does it at about 1.5 liters per minute, fast enough to fill a bottle while you catch your breath. At 78 g (2.8 oz) and 13 cm long, it fits in a hip-belt pocket.

Screw it onto the included 1 liter pouch, most soft flasks or standard 28 mm bottle threads and drink straight through it, squeeze into another container, or splice it inline on a hydration hose. A backflushing syringe restores flow when silt slows it down, and each filter is rated for 4,000 liters. Keep it from freezing, which can crack the fibers without visible damage. It does not remove viruses or chemicals. Shown in ember orange with off-white end caps.
