Description
An R-value of 4.4 and a weight of 440 g (15.5 oz) put the Featherbed in the rare space where one pad covers summer through early winter. Inside its 7.6 cm (3 in) thick air chambers, two layers of heat-reflective film bounce body heat back up and block radiant loss to cold ground, without the crinkly noise of older reflective pads.
Horizontal baffles with slightly taller outer rails cradle you toward the center so you do not roll off in the night. The top fabric is 30-denier nylon with a textured print that keeps sleeping bags from sliding, and the base is 40-denier to resist punctures. A two-way flat valve inflates with the included pump sack in about a minute and deflates in seconds.
The regular size measures 183 x 51 cm (72 x 20 in) and packs to the size of a 1-liter bottle. Field repair kit included. Shown in mustard yellow with gray rails.
