Description
Now in its third version, the Ridgeline is the trail shoe our staff recommend most often, and this update keeps what runners liked: a secure midfoot, a forgiving 30 mm heel stack with a 6 mm drop, and 4 mm lugs that handle hardpack, gravel and moderately technical singletrack without feeling clumsy on the road sections in between.
New this time are a flexible forefoot rock plate, tougher abrasion-resistant mesh around the toe and a gusseted tongue that keeps trail debris out. The sticky rubber compound grips wet rock and roots, and the open lug pattern sheds mud readily. Weight is 285 g (10.1 oz) in a men’s US 9. A rear gaiter attachment point works with most trail gaiters, and the low-profile heel sits comfortably with a running vest on long days out.
Shown in deep navy fading to coral at the toe, with a white midsole and grey outsole.
