Description
Single-wall stainless steel has one big advantage over insulated bottles: with the cap off, it can sit on a stove or in coals to boil water for purification or a hot drink. The Riverstone holds 800 ml (27 oz) in seamless 18/8 steel with an unlined interior, so there’s no coating to crack or leach, and at 210 g (7.4 oz) it’s much lighter than a vacuum bottle.
The powder-coated loop cap seals with a silicone gasket over a 57 mm mouth, and etched markings every 200 ml help when measuring water for dehydrated meals. With no insulation, it sweats when filled with cold water and gets hot to the touch, so handle it with a glove after heating. Dishwasher safe. Shown in brushed stainless with an olive green cap.
